It's 'The Right Time' To Check Out Tuxedo's Animated Remix Video

Though it was released way back in February, we're still funkin' with Tuxedo's self-titled debut album. We're also enjoying some of the alternate takes of the album's tracks, most notable Kaytranada's remix of "The Right Time." The spaced out flip played with Tuxedo's '80s-leaning funk perfectly and added a extra layer to the song. Now, after dropping the remix off this past May, the duo has released an epic video to accompany the song.

The clip uses a ton of clay and stop-motion animation to weave an intergalactic tale involving the duo's members, Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One. We're shown a planet that's so funky, even its buildings can't help but to swing and sway to the groove and even a weird greenish substance comes to life. We then see our two Tuxedo friends cruising the cosmos in their own separate ships as they zap any asteroids in their path. Somehow, though, they don't notice the large green mass that's forming behind them until they're swallowed up by it and transported to the funky planet. What would normally be cause for alarm, though, seems to be cosmic serendipity as our space explorers suit up and set out to find exactly what makes this planet so funky.

While it's not exactly the cleanest claymation we've ever seen, director Joe Baughman makes this a fun ride that you'll definitely want to watch. Check it out when you press play.
