Allen Stone's third full-length album, Radius, is due out on May 26th. We got our first taste of his Capitol Records debut last month with the retro R&B sounds of "Upside." Now, he's released another track for our listening pleasure called, "Freedom."

At first listen, the catchy anthem seems like a departure from his recent offerings with its decidedly pop sound. But a spirited horn section and Stone's energetic falsetto help infuse the tune with a little dose of soul. Stone keeps things lyrically interesting by maintaining a sinner versus saint dynamic. There's an air of spirituality when he sings, "I've been searching around, turning every stone / Spun the world upside down, I can't leave it alone / Everyday when I rise, You break me from my chains / Supernatural high that gets me out my way." But then flips the script and embraces his inner hedonist with, "Get free, baby / Die young, honey / Drink up, baby / Make love to me." Finally, he takes us to church, proclaiming, "Hallelujah! / Pumping right through ya," punctuated with soulful hand-clapping. No matter how you choose to exercise your freedom, Allen Stone has got the soundtrack for you.
