Amel Larrieux Will Serve Us 'Ice Cream Everyday' In August

Well, would you look at that! Earlier this week, Amel Larrieux took us all by surprise with the release of her single "Afraid." And, just when we were wondering what more we could expect, Amel is now revealing the album cover for her long-awaited project Ice Cream Everyday and allowing enthusiastic listeners a chance to pre-order the set. Channeling the cover from Chaka Khan's 1981 classic What Cha' Gonna Do for Me, Amel is looking fantastic in bright colors and expertly applied make-up. The songstress is so excited about finally releasing the album that she took to her Facebook page to express her thanks for her fans' patience:

my level of gratitude is constantly challenged by your tireless support. it means I get to make the best work I possibly can, as an offering of sorts, to you.

Sweet words from a sweet soul. Speaking of sweet, Ice Cream Everyday will drop August 27th and you can pre-order the deluxe edition of the album (which includes three bonus mixes) via Amel's Blisslife Records site right now. Even better, one lucky fan will have their copy hand delivered by Amel herself! If I were you, I'd get on this one with the quickness.
