We're Feeling Pretty 'Lucky' Thanks To This Daft Punk, Pharrell & Nile Rodgers Collaboration

Even though they weren't on the bill for this weekend's Coachella music festival, French duo Daft Punk still managed to steal the show when they unveiled a teaser vid for "Get Lucky," their collaboration with Pharrell and the legendary Nile Rodgers. Although my impatient nature normally makes me hate teasers, this minute-long clip got me all hot and bothered about this unlikely musical combo of electronic music meets disco. With enough sparkly sequins to match the song's throwback '70's sound, I'm beyond ready to hear and see more. While I'm not normally a fan of Pharrell's crooning abilities, the eternally youthful looking producer-turnt-sanger seems to be doing his thang on this joint. And I'm always here for Rodgers' signature guitar riffs. It's so good to see the smiling Chic co-founder back in the saddle, especially following his prostate cancer diagnosis back in 2010. "Get Lucky" will be featured on Daft Punk's fourth studio album, Random Access Memories, which is due out on May 21st. Take a look at the clip and if you want to know more about how this unlikely pairing happened, be sure to check out Rodgers explaining how he ended up linking up with Daft Punk in the first place after the bounce.
