Will Lili K.'s 'Curtain Call' Garner Your Applause?

With Metal Petals coming up on the horizon, Lili K. gives us a taste of what the project's about with "Curtain Call." Like her songs from last years A Prelude to Hello, "Curtain Call" finds the songstress melding her jazz-inflected R&B with Peter CottonTale's hip-hop backbeat. Filled with handclaps, organ and Lili's sassy vocals, it tells the tale of a woman conflicted both in life and love. When it comes to the single's video, Lili opted not to be so literal. Instead she channels her own jazzy style, fusing her flair for vintage glamour with a bit of the song's moody feel. From pensively vamping in a church to an industrial space to a stage, Lili brings it in the clip. I know I'm digging it. But of course the real question is, will "Curtain Call" get your standing O? If so, then I'm sure there's plenty more where that came from when Metal Petals drops at the end of the month.
