I have been meaning to post about British R&B talent Javeon McCarthy for a while now. Signed to the indie label PMR, his handful of singles have been somewhat overshadowed by labelmate, blog-darling, and SoulBounce favorite Jessie Ware, but his latest single, "Precious," could change all that. With a firm nod to '90's/'00's male R&B, but with an updated spin courtesy of another labelmate, producer Two Inch Punch (who recently remixed Lianne La Havas), Javeon strikes a fine balance of old-school charm and nu-school cool. The video of him performing the track live below was filmed by the good folks over at PINBOARDblog, so hats off to them, too. As an added bonus, check out "Love Without A Heart" after the bounce, produced by another PMR signee, Julio Bashmore, the man behind the Jessie Ware-stunner, "Running."
