Nas Gets 'Nasty' On New Single

Just when you thought the music scene couldn't get any hotter this summer, here comes Nas with some new heat for the masses. Coming off the heels of touring with Damian Marley to promote last year's Distant Relatives, Nas has dropped the street single from his upcoming album Life is Good. For "Nasty," Nas dusts off his Nasty Nas persona and spits straight sixteens (no chorus, no hook) for three minutes. This is post-Illmatic Nas sounding possibly as focused as he was when he and Jay-Z were trading jab after jab in their infamous beef. Spitting over an ominous Salaam Remi beat, Nas delivers a flow drenched in Remy Martin and cigar smoke as rhymes span topics from women to blunts to jewelry to wack rappers to Biggie and a million other things. I dare you to put this one on and not nod your head to it. This one's got me feeling like it's '94 all over again.
