The wait for Victoria Monét’s new album has gone from months to weeks to mere days. With Frequency Of Love’s release date rapidly approaching on Friday, October 2nd, Vic is ramping up the rollout. She follows up the LP’s third single “Juicy” with a lyric video filled with eye candy.
The songstress keeps it simple and sexy in the visual, which focuses solely on her. She steps into the frame wearing a black beret, white sweater, black capris and sky-high heels and carrying a bucket and paintbrush, before painting the song’s title in red cursive letters on the wall. She switches out of her French-inspired ’fit into another classic look consisting of a black leotard and colorful tights for the rest of the clip. Transforming from an adorable artiste into a dazzling dancer, she gives main character energy in every scene while the lyrics pop up on screen.
Victoria’s bouncy hairdo and eyeglass frames are a nod to her grandmother’s traditional style. She shared a vintage photograph of her side by side with a still from the visual on Instagram, and they practically looked like twins. “My angel of inspiration for life and for love,” she wrote of her grandmother, Mobile, Alabama’s own Cassaundria “Cassie” Lovett.
“Juicy,” “Reach Out” and “Let Me” are three of 22 songs on the way on Victoria Monét’s Frequency Of Love. The album will be in our hands next week at the top of October, with her Frequency Of Love Tour to follow later in the month.
