There are still a few months remaining in 2026, but Glenn Lewis is a sure bet to be the comeback story of the year. He released his long-awaited new album Overture in June, and it’s had fans in a chokehold all summer. Unlike the weather, the set is showing no signs of cooling off, and Glenn continues bringing the heat with the music video for the cut “Waiting.”
Though he’s at his wit’s end with his significant other whom he sings to in “Waiting,” Lewis exudes calm and keeps his composure in the visual. We join him alone in a white living room filled with monochromatic decor. His off-white ’fit coordinates with his surroundings, but he stands out. His frequent creative collaborator Anna Keenan is in the director’s chair, and she makes sure to capture his good side in each frame. (Spoiler alert: Every side is Glenn Lewis’ good side.)
His chill, laid-back demeanor in the first half of the clip gives way to some visible anxiety in the latter half, matching his angst in the lyrics. “Oh, won’t you say something, anything / Instead of me waiting, waiting, waiting,” he pleads to his lady on the chorus. With no answers forthcoming, a clock on the wall signifying the passage of time shows that Glenn is ultimately waiting in vain.
Glenn Lewis may have been gone for too long, but he is making up for lost time on Overture. If you’ve yet to experience the brilliance of his new album, what are you waiting for? Take Overture for a spin right now on Apple Music, Spotify, TIDAL and all digital music platforms.
