GRAMMY Award winner Durand Bernarr has been having quite the year. With him being on the road with Kehlani and partying from state to state for the past two months, we can almost guarantee he’s also had quite the summer. But even with his star steadily rising and his schedule being booked and busy, the performer still has to make room for some playtime. He looks to have found a way to mix business and pleasure in the highly anticipated visual for his Big Sean-featuring BERNARR. cut “Waiting.”
The track is a standout on BERNARR. thanks to its unexpected vibe, which dabbles in a bit of Miami and Atlanta bass to get that thang shaking on the dance floor. Add in Big Sean’s refrain, and it’s been the perfect soundtrack to be outside this summer. Though summer is technically over, it’s still warm enough for us to shake a little something for a little bit longer. The “Waiting” video pretty much demands it.
The clip takes us to an outdoor function that looks an awful lot like a Los Angeles edition of the Everyday People party. Sean and Durand are most definitely in the mix as they mingle with the crowd and dap up friends. They also find time to style, profile and perform as the crowd moves to their undeniable groove. Though there are moments that are obviously staged for the camera, everything feels candid and natural and makes us wish that we could’ve been in the number.
Temperatures are dropping and leaves are starting to change color, but we’re going to act like that’s not happening as we twerk to this one. Join us when you watch Durand Bernarr and Big Sean having a good time in the song’s video below.
