When he’s not going viral for his witty political commentary or red carpet shenanigans, Eric Benét is busy working on a brand-new album. After releasing two projects last year — his duets album The Co-Star and the holiday collection It’s Christmas — he is striking while the iron is hot with his forthcoming set. And our main man has a lot to say, as heard on his single “Who’s Gonna Save Us?” Now Benét blesses us with a music video for the soulful protest song.
Eric takes to the streets of Los Angeles in the visual. Director Nobody Else captures him in a handful of locations in the city, with a focus on Leimert Park. That’s where we join EB strolling around an outdoor market, meeting and greeting fans, shopping with vendors and walking with a bullhorn featuring a sticker that reads, "Stop Pretending Your Racism Is Patriotism.” A trio of dancers co-stars with the crooner to spread his message and bust some light moves with him. The clip ends with the foursome raising their fists in the air and staring into the camera as the scene fades to black.
With so much chaos and craziness happening in the world right now, we’re sure that Eric Benét has more to say about it all on his socials and next album. Though he hasn’t shared a title or release date yet, we’re here for his brand of movement music.
