Daley’s colorful comeback is coming along nicely. The British crooner reintroduced himself with his new single “Lavender” last month, and he’s now following up with a video for the track. On top of that, he pairs the visual release with news that he’s going on tour across the United States later this year.
Of course, for a song titled “Lavender,” the color purple is the main character in the clip. Multiple shades of purple cover Daley and the smoke-filled set that he stands on. He’s by himself as he sings mostly in shadow with only the occasional prop — sticks of incense, a large bouquet of flowers — making an appearance. The laid-back visual is as calm and soothing as the song, the color and its namesake fragrant herb.
Directed by Chris West, the video’s chill vibe is by design. “I didn’t want to overcomplicate it too much, having been away for a moment,” Daley said in a press statement. “I just wanted to perform and embody the sentiment of the song for a moment. Of course, it made sense to do so under purple light! So we created this hazy, dream-like place, separate from the outside world, to mirror the lyrical themes of the song.”
“Lavender” is the lead single from Daley’s forthcoming fourth album — his first in almost a decade. He hasn’t shared any more details about the project, but he has shared concert tour dates. He plans to reconnect with his stateside fans on his Daley USA Tour 2026.
His journey is scheduled to begin in St. Louis on September 16th before he pulls up in multiple locations around the country. Chicago, Cleveland, Las Vegas, New York City, D.C., Atlanta, Charlotte, San Diego and Oakland are among the cities on his packed itinerary running through October and November. The final show will be in Sacramento on November 5th. He will also be performing in Texas at some point, but those shows are to be announced.
