It seems that we’ve been relegated to waiting on the follow-up to Victoria Monét’s tremendously successful major-label debut JAGUAR II. There have been glimmers of what’s to come, though, including Victoria herself leaking snippets of as-yet-unreleased tracks. But the biggest clue of a new project in the wings was the Valentine’s Day release of her romantic single “Let Me.” Now, more than three months later, she’s revisiting the cut with a new “Let Me” bundle featuring a dreamy live rendition that’s sure to make even more of the singer’s fans swoon.

For this live version of “Let Me,” Victoria enlists only the best to help her give the song new life, bringing on Adam Blackstone and Terence Vaughn as composers. They give the song lush instrumentation that replaces some of the original’s studio production and provides just a bit more warmth. They also smartly include a few musical references, such as a nod to Michael Sterling’s “Lovers And Friends” and Destiny Child’s “Cater 2 U.” Even with all those elements at play, it’s still Victoria’s vocal that’s the star. It’s tender in all the right places while still reaching for big moments when appropriate, showing not just her talents but also how they have grown.

The songstress keeps it classic and classy in the accompanying live visual directed by Kanya Iwana. She starts the clip in black and white, seemingly alone on a stage in a sexy and elegant white dress. Soon enough, the screen flashes to color, and the curtain behind her drops down to reveal the full band behind her.

From there, Victoria keeps her eyes on the camera as she aims to make us swoon with the ballad (and, if we’re being honest, undoubtedly succeeds). But just when you think it’s over, the scene and her dress change as she and her dancers channel Destiny’s Child with some choreography, and Monét gives us her best Beyoncé impression before the video eventually ends.

We may not know when we can expect a new project from Victoria Monét, but if she's bringing this kind of energy, we’ll be patiently waiting for whatever is next.
