Joyce Wrice definitely has something on the way, though she’s a bit reticent to share exactly what that is just yet. What she has shared, though, is new music. She kicked off 2026 with the frisky and fun cut “Break Me In” to tease us as she set things in motion for a new project. Now the singer is back with yet another new song, the romantic cut “Crack The Code.”

Joyce partners with producers Malik Ninety Five, Mike Baretz and daedaePIVOT to craft the silky romance of the track. They build it up with syrupy bass, ethereal guitar and drums that knock, giving this the feel of ’90s and early 2000s R&B off the bat. The sound bed is then draped with layers of Joyce’s own vocals, which spill over each other as they form beautifully stacked harmonies.

On the verses, the singer lets her lover know that he’s somehow found a way to confuse her senses and let down her guard. And though she’s not sure why she’s feeling the way she is, she knows that he’s found the way to unlock her heart. “I felt it the first time I looked in your eyes / Then I felt it again when I told you to slide,” she sings on the opening verse. “I’ve been off this love train for a while / But you can change my mind anytime.”

“‘Crack The Code’ came from the perspective of someone who is so used to holding back emotionally, but meets someone who makes that almost impossible,” Joyce said in a press release. “It’s exciting, but there’s tension underneath it all because you don’t fully trust it, or yourself in it. You’re craving connection but also resisting it at the same time. You want them, you feel them, but part of you is always trying not to fall too hard.”

Speaking of falling, it seems like Joyce Wrice might be trying to make us swoon with whatever she has coming next. As we anticipate what exactly that is and when to expect it, listen to Joyce falling in love when you check out “Crack The Code” below.
