The ladies of FLO caused quite a stir with their racy and slightly raunchy single “Leak It,” snagging the eyes and ears of fans across the globe. We knew that the single’s release meant that something more was in the works from the trio, and the ladies confirmed that this week with the announcement that their upcoming set Therapy At The Club will be arriving this summer. While they put the finishing touches on the LP, Stella Quaresma, Renée Downer and Jorja Douglas drop off the album’s title track as their next single from the project.

This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard “Therapy At The Club,” as the British babes gave us a sneak preview of a more stripped-down version of the track during their debut on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert Series. The throwback vibe is fleshed out for this studio version. The production leads with a lilting piano that mimics the sound of pop ballads in the 1960s and coasts along to a simple drum rhythm.

Lyrically, though, things get pretty modern as the ladies sing about a woman who heads to the club instead of a therapist’s couch to vent about her relationship. The ladies lend a sympathetic ear and understanding on the chorus, singing, “Therapy at the club / Go dance with someone / Go run your mouth to a stranger ’cause their arms feel safer / Than telling the man that you love / He’s not enough / And talking is tough / So go ahеad and kiss who you wanna, whatever the trauma / If you еver fall out of love, try therapy at the club.”

Though the title track might have a bit of a somber feel, the ladies of FLO are very excited about the 16-track set’s pending release. It finds them working with new producers and songwriters and having more of a hand in the crafting of the songs themselves.

“We’ve been very hands-on with the writing and creation of this project alongside our very special collaborators, and that’s made it even more meaningful to us,” the group said in a press release. “This album represents where we are right now — honest, evolving, and unafraid to feel everything. We really hope you love it!”
