Before Alex Isley pops out on her When The City Sleeps 2026 North America Tour later this month, she’s been popping up on daytime TV. She recently performed “Sweetest Lullabye” on The Kelly Clarkson Show in April, and this week, she made her debut on The Jennifer Hudson Show to sing her When The City Sleeps cut “Maybe Again.”
The show’s set was bathed in blue hues to welcome the songstress, who has chosen the jewel tone as her signature color for this album cycle. She kept her look consistent with the branding in a vibrant royal blue gown accented by a silver breastplate and jewelry. Alex was a stunning sight as she stood center stage, backed by her four-piece live band. As lovely as she looked, though, she sounded even more exquisite.
The songbird’s soft, soothing vocals coasted above the acoustic guitar and twinkling keys. Her longing and yearning were felt in every note and lyric of the wistful torch song that closes When The City Sleeps.
Alex Isley endeared herself to Jennifer Hudson’s audience, who rewarded her performance with hearty applause. JHud came out to briefly chat with AIsley, who spoke about her famous family, how she developed her love of music and the new album.
This enchanting performance is a preview of coming attractions on Alex Isley’s forthcoming When The City Sleeps Tour, which kicks off on May 28th in Atlanta. She announced this week that she’ll be joined on tour by The Amours and TA Thomas, who will alternate as her opening act on select dates.
