The 2026 ESSENCE Festival Of Culture continues its rollout of artists who’ll be performing this July 4th weekend in New Orleans at the Caesars Superdome. Joining previously announced artists Brandy, Monica, Patti LaBelle and Kehlani will be a few good men. New to the lineup are hip-hop legends Public Enemy, funk legend George Clinton, R&B legend Babyface, several established acts and numerous newcomers. In addition to revealing this new batch of performers, festival organizers have unveiled the daily roster of artists so that attendees can plan their ESSENCE Festival itineraries accordingly.

EFOC’s opening night on Friday, July 3rd will be off the chain with Cardi B set to headline the night. Leading up to the rapstress rocking the mic will be performances by R&B star Kehlani, big mama Latto and SZN4, a co-ed R&B/pop group formed on the Netflix competition series Building The Band.

Night two of EFOC on Saturday, July 4th will be an explosion of R&B. Bringing the fireworks to the stage will be headliners Brandy and Monica recreating the magic of 2025’s The Boy Is Mine Tour at ESSENCE Fest. Preceding the dynamic duo will be the icon Patti LaBelle and R&B dudes Leon Thomas and Josh Levi.

The final night of EFOC on Sunday, July 5th will be a celebration of multiple genres of Black Music. Headlining the festivities will be George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic getting funky with special guests Durand Bernarr, Nona Hendryx, Big Freedia, Big Boi and Scarface riding along in the Mothership. Before that epic ending, festivalgoers will be entertained by R&B and pop hitmaker Babyface, hip-hop group Public Enemy led by Chuck D and Flavor Flav and party starter Doug E. Fresh with a few friends.

Believe it or not, there are still even more performers that will be announced in the coming days to round out the lineup.

Despite ESSENCE Festival planning to let the good times roll as scheduled, there has been a growing outcry to cancel the 2026 ESSENCE Festival Of Culture amid Louisiana redrawing its congressional map following the Supreme Court gutting the Voting Rights Act. Festival organizers haven’t responded to the commentary yet, but look for the protest to get louder as the event approaches and political leaders in Louisiana continue to act a fool.
