Momo Boyd has entered her solo era with verve. Though she’s still a member of the soft rock band Infinity Song alongside three of her siblings, Momo has ventured off on a creative side quest with the release of her first solo EP Miss Michigan. The seven-track project finds the artist dabbling in a few genres, including R&B on the song “Oops,” which is the latest cut to get a visual. And in another first for Boyd, she’ll soon embark on her debut world tour as a solo act, the Miss Michigan Tour.
“Oops” is last on the tracklist, and it’s the EP’s standout. The song is co-written by Momo and Khris Riddick-Tynes, who co-produced the song with Ashton “SNW” Norful and Antonio Dixon, and it’s an unexpected yet welcome R&B bop to end Miss Michigan.
Miss Boyd is a total lovergirl on “Oops” who falls hard, fast and frequently. She muses on the first verse, “Yikes (Uh-oh) / I think I’m in love again (Uh-oh),” about her newest beau. Mind you, just a week prior, she’d met someone else that she fell for, and it was all good until, “He started tryna do the most.”
She addresses that previous suitor on the chorus. “Oops, I swear I meant to call back / Oops, I never meant to break your heart,” she innocently sings, trying to play off her disinterest before curving him. “Don’t try selling me no sentiments / It is what it is, and I’m over it.” She’s onto the next, and that’s that on that.
Though a heartbreaker, she’s no maneater. Momo is all brown sugar, spice and everything nice in the visualizer for “Oops.” The set-up is simple, with her standing against a blue wall dressed in a red shirt with white fringe. She mugs for the camera while applying makeup, flashing her killer smile, tossing and twirling her perfect hair and singing the lyrics. Momo is cute as a button as she appears on the screen in single, double and quadruple.
You can get to see even more of Momo Boyd on her upcoming Miss Michigan Tour. Beginning on June 5th in Chicago, she’ll be supporting the rock band Bleachers for the first few dates June. The tour will pick up in August with shows in Detroit, Los Angeles and New York City before heading to the EU and UK in the fall. There, she’ll play Copenhagen, Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, London and Paris for the tour’s grand finale on November 5th.
If you miss Momo on her mini-tour, she’s also hitting the road with her fam on their Infinity Song World Tour II Continues 2026, which starts this month.
