Kehlani has a birthday coming up, and she’ll have a lot to celebrate. In addition to turning 31 on Friday, April 24th, the songstress will gift fans with her fifth album, simply entitled Kehlani, on that day.
It’s no coincidence that Kehlani is releasing her self-titled set on her birthday. It’s poised to be her most personal work to date, with press materials describing the collection as “an intimate and fearless body of work that reflects her clarity, confidence and creative freedom.”
Led by the GRAMMY Award-winning single “Folded” and follow-up single “Out The Window,” the project will feature a grand total of 17 songs. Kehlani is keeping the rest of the song titles under wraps for the moment, but she has unveiled the album’s official cover art.
The singer-songwriter looks as gorgeous as ever in the cover photo for Kehlani. She’s seen rocking her fresh new pixie cut and a flawless beat as she gazes into the camera for the close-up beauty shot.
In addition to this main cover, there will be three alternate covers that correspond with differently colored vinyl and CD versions of Kehlani, which will be released by Atlantic Records. Superfans can pre-order limited-edition, signed copies of the 2LP vinyl or CD in several marbled hues. Run don’t walk to Kehlani’s website, because these limited-edition drops and other items in the Kehlani capsule collection are only on sale exclusively via her merch store through 12 noon ET on Friday, March 20th.
