Mary J. Blige celebrated her 55th birthday over the weekend, but that’s not the only milestone she’ll hit in 2026. Her album No More Drama turns 25 in August, and My Life II... The Journey Continues (Act I) hits 15 this November. In addition to those anniversaries, the all-time Queen of Hip-Hop Soul will bring her first-ever Las Vegas residency to the stage at Dolby Live at Park MGM this May and July. The performance series entitled Mary J. Blige: My Life, My Story The Las Vegas Residency is a dream realized for Blige.
Mary made the exclusive announcement on TODAY during an interview with anchor Craig Melvin. She shared that this won’t be your average Vegas residency, and she plans to give fans an experience unlike anything they’ve seen from her before.
My Life, My Story will feature a theatrical component with actors and actresses helping to bring her songs to life while the music tells the story. Queen Mary will perform many of her classics and hits as well as B-sides and fan-favorite album cuts, several of which she’s never performed live before.
“It’s gonna be nice. Vegas is the big time!” she shared with Melvin, expressing her excitement about this new chapter in her storied career.
Blige’s upcoming stint in Sin City consists of a total of 10 shows, divided equally in May and July. This residency follows a major year for Mary that saw her traverse North America on The For My Fans Tour with Ne-Yo and Mario, headline Madison Square Garden for the first time and release her For My Fans concert film in theaters.
