Now that Christmas and New Year’s have passed, the next big holiday on the horizon is Valentine’s Day. That means we’re about to get bombarded with a lot of lovey-dovey content. While a lot of the fare being offered seems to be of the trite variety, we are looking forward to the upcoming rom-com Relationship Goals, which stars Kelly Rowland and Cliff “Method Man” Smith as workplace rivals with a romantic history. The flick, which is set for release on Prime Video next month, has just released its official trailer.
The trailer introduces us to Kelly’s Leah Caldwell, an ambitious television producer who has the chance to become the first woman to run New York’s top morning show. However, that chance comes into question when Meth in the role of her ex Jarrett Roy becomes her competition for the role. The rivals’ contest sparks both professional and romantic tension for the two while also causing their friends to explore the challenges they each are facing in their own love lives.
Inspired by the best-selling book and sermon series by Pastor Michael Todd and produced by DeVon Franklin, Relationship Goals also stars Robin Thede, Dennis Haysbert and more. The rom-com will debut globally on Prime Video just in time for Valentine’s Day on Wednesday, February 4th.
