Ella Mai may have begun a new chapter with her latest single “Tell Her,” but she has some unfinished business to tend to first. After surprising fans with the EP 3 to celebrate turning 30 last year, this year the Scorpio songstress decided to celebrate her 31st birthday and the project’s first anniversary by gifting everyone with an official music video for the track “Little Things.”
Ella was a certified lovergirl on 3, and those romantic vibes carry over into the cinematic clip for “Little Things.” Directed by French filmmaker Loris Russier, the captivating visual captures tender moments between Mai and her man.
“Little Things” opens with the couple holding hands and standing face to face with their foreheads touching in the pouring rain. A smooth segue into the next scene introduces Ella lounging on her couch and singing into the camera. There’s another flawless transition to a photograph of her taking a bubble bath and playfully throwing bubbles at him as he watches her in the tub.
The video is filled with a mix of live-action scenes and still images of Ella and her beau around their happy home. Whether she’s solo or they’re on screen together, the scenes reflect exactly what you would expect to see from a satisfied woman and a couple that is truly in love.
