Mariah Carey’s media blitz continues! The superstar diva is promoting her new album Here For It All everywhere you turn, and if you turned on your televisions last night, you may have caught her on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Mimi stopped by 30 Rock with a very special guest, her “Play This Song” duet partner and designated handholder Anderson .Paak, for their first live performance of the single.

Before the rumored couple took center stage, Mariah sat down to chat it up with host Jimmy Fallon. She talked about a little bit of everything: trying to be the cool mom to her 14-year-old twins, having no interest in going to outer space and her top secret grunge album entitled Someone’s Ugly Daughter that she recorded in the ’90s and never released. Of course, the conversation circled back to Here For It All, and Fallon even made a fun game out of the album title. Jimmy also got her to play a few rounds of “Famous Face-Off” with him, Black Thought and the episode’s other guest, Bozoma Saint John.

Following all that excitement, Mariah saved a little energy for the performance. She changed into a shimmering gold gown befitting of her diva status and was joined by Anderson suited up in all white and seated at the grand piano, three supporting vocalists and members of The Roots supplying the rhythm section.

Mimi and Andy didn’t display the same chemistry that spiced up the “Play This Song” visual, but they did exchange a glance here and a smile there to keep people guessing. Regardless of whether you were wondering “Are they or aren’t they carrying on?”, two things were for certain — their mics were on and they both sounded fantastic. Mariah and Paak sealed the performance by blowing kisses to each other. These two!
