We’ve thoroughly enjoyed cruising with India Shawn and Lucky Daye down “Cotton Candy Blvd.” The duet hits the sweet spot and satisfies our R&B cravings. India already has her next single waiting in the wings, but before she moves on to that, she keeps it moving on “Cotton Candy Blvd” with the song’s official visualizer.
After taking a treacherous car ride in the video for “Kill Switch,” our passenger princess India stays put and goes solo for this clip. Though there’s no Lucky Daye or another handsome fella to play her bae, the gorgeous songstress keeps our attention focused on her and the scenery. Here, “Cotton Candy Blvd” is more than a street; it’s a magical, mystical place with pink clouds rolling across purple skies, grassy hills and flowers everywhere.
It’s India Shawn’s world, and she is in her element, singing and serving up looks. Though she’s wearing the same outfit from the single’s cover art and lyric video, the visualizer has a very muted color palette compared to the previous vibrant imagery. It appears to have a vintage filter applied to give it a retro feel to match the song’s nostalgic yet carefree vibe.
India Shawn may be ready to drop her new single entitled “Gone,” but we’re honestly not over “Cotton Candy Blvd” just yet, and we’re happy to receive this visual while we wait for her to wow us with her next music move.
