When it comes to Mariah The Scientist, one thing is for sure and two things are for certain. First, she’s gonna hold her man down through thick, thin and all the things. Secondly, she’s going to release a new album every other year. As she enjoys her wifey life with rapper Young Thug, like clockwork, the singer has announced the upcoming release of her next album HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY.
Scheduled to arrive on Friday, August 22nd, Mariah introduced the project with the lead single “Burning Blue,” which has been burning up the charts since dropping in May. The song has landed in the Top 25 of Billboard’s Hot 100 and become her highest-charting track to date. Mariah certainly has a hit on her hands with “Burning Blue” and even counts Rihanna among the song’s fans.
Aside from “Burning Blue,” HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY will feature a total of 10 tracks. The final tracklist is still a mystery, but Mariah has unveiled the cover art for the LP. Known for her striking album covers, here we see Mariah as a green female toy soldier standing at attention on a pink rug against a pink wall. There is a promo image (seen above) to accompany the album news that depicts her as the toy soldier with a grenade casually hanging from her index finger.
HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY will be Mariah The Scientist’s fourth album following her 2019 debut MASTER, sophomore album RY RY WORLD in 2021 and 2023’s To Be Eaten Alive. The set is currently available for pre-save on digital music platforms, while CD and vinyl versions (with or without an autograph) can be pre-ordered from her merch store.
