It’s finally starting to feel like summer is on the way after a rather chilly May. And just as the weather is getting hotter, so is the music. Enter our girl Rochelle Jordan, who is always good for a dance floor-filling bop. The singer, who leaned fully into her electronic bag with 2021’s Play With The Changes, teams with house music legend Terry Hunter for a sexy jam called “Crave.”

Rochelle turns up the heat on “Crave.” That’s due in part to Hunter’s seductive production. He works in the tried and true four-on-the-floor backbeat and matches it with soft touches of keys and various synths that float and flutter above the drums. The sensual music allows RoJo to give us her best sex kitten performance as she gets her sexy on.

The verses find Rochelle looking to go from arguing to making up. She sets up the situation with a breathy delivery as she asks to be taken in the night. Her request becomes more a demand by the chorus, though, as she spells it out in no uncertain terms.

“I need you to touch it, touch it, touch it, go / Make me remember why we fight at all / I need you to touch it, touch it, touch it, go / Just need to feel it, can’t get enough,” she sings with a palpable yearning. “I need you to touch it, touch it, touch it, go / Make mе remember why wе fell in love / I need you to touch it, touch it, touch it, go / We crave the feeling.”

That’s more than enough to get anyone hot under the collar, and it’s the point of the song according to RoJo. “This single is about passion & love, making up after disagreements and the fact that the connection is still very much felt for my person in the aftermath of an argument… sometimes even more so,” the singer said of the song in a press release. “These words are based on the moments of reconnecting and finding common ground again. Because that’s what it’s like when you’re walking through life with the person you love, sometimes it gets messy or irritating, but that doesn’t mean ya’ll can’t make it ‘fun’ too."

Rochelle Jordan and Terry Hunter collaborating is precisely what we need to get our summer started right. As we prepare for hot and heavy days and nights, let the singer give you what you “Crave” by spinning the song and watching its official visualizer below.
