It’s been quite the wait for Summer Walker to release her third album Finally Over It, the closer for her trilogy of albums that includes 2019’s Over It and 2021’s Still Over It. Though the singer has been popping up on everybody else’s songs, she’s only released “Heart Of A Woman” from the set so far. That changes with her latest single “Spend It.”

The song finds Summer switching up her love language after her man has seemingly done her wrong. She begins the song with a melodic, matter-of-fact statement, singing, “Give me the last four of your credit card / Buy back my love, you can keep your heart.” From there, the song introduces an unexpected slow jam vibe with simple synth keys and a steady drum rhythm.

The spare arrangement allows Summer to name a laundry list of items that she wants to be spoiled with in order for her man to earn her love. “Spend it on me / Go right ahead and spend it on me / Go right ahead and spoil me, baby / Buy back my love,” she sings on the chorus. “Keep those sweet nothings from mе / They don’t mean nothing to me / Diamonds and pеarls / I’m that type of girl now / I want your black card, you can keep your heart.”

And it seems that she’ll be getting cinematic with the song’s soon-to-be-released music video. The singer released a teaser trailer for the clip that features her having a top secret conversation with Joanne The Scammer as he gives her a mission to embark on. As he lays out the plan, we also see that the video will feature P-Valley stars Gail Bean, Brandee Evans and Miracle Watts (as well as personalities Angela White — the vixen formerly known as Blac Chyna — and Eric Roberts in unspecified roles) as her accomplices in what’s sure to be a heist to remember.
