Eric Roberson and BJ The Chicago Kid have a lot of buzz surrounding their new single “Where You Gonna Go.” The thought-provoking duet has listeners caught up in its mellow-smooth sound and contemplating its message. Now Erro and BJTCK bring the song to life in its music video, which recently premiered on BET Soul.
Erro reunites with frequent visual collaborator Steven Jon who’s behind the camera for “Where You Gonna Go.” Jon helped Roberson to manifest his vision for the video.
“I took a little sketch pad, and I drew some steps and they built it! Are you kidding me? Things couldn’t work out any better,” Eric gushed about the set of white steps on the soundstage that are central to the visual narrative.
While Eric and BJ sing, members of the Philadanco! dance company are in constant movement around them. The dancers are seen walking up and down the stairs before one dancer breaks free from the pack when Eric sings, “Sometimes you gotta go where love will find you.” Two more dancers take note and follow her lead, joining her in an interpretive dance. She soon inspires all of the dancers to breakout and keep it moving.
“Those dancers are incredible,” BJ marveled about the Philadanco! crew. “How they chose to utilize their art with our art to make bigger art is very unique.”
