There are only a couple of short weeks left before we get our hands on Eric Benét’s upcoming duets album, The Co-Star. The set promises to be a treat for R&B lovers as Eric has gathered a stacked cast of R&B’s most talented women to join him on the set, including Keri Hilson, Tamar Braxton and Corinne Bailey Rae. Speaking of the “Like A Star” singer, she’s the co-star of the set’s newest visual for the ballad “Fly Away,” which Benét and Rae first previewed on his Duets EP.

The twosome returns to nature in the clip as they pair up in the great outdoors. Rather than focus on how beautiful the two of them are (and don’t get it twisted — they both look damn in their bohemian garb), the video offers breathtaking landscapes. The camera frames them against lush, green meadows, stepping barefoot into creeks and performing with verdant trees as the backdrop. It almost seems as if they’re performing in a living postcard.

When we’re not envying them becoming one with nature, the video also reminds us just how talented both musicians are. Not only do they sound great vocally, but we also see them strumming away at acoustic guitars as the sun’s rays adorn them with a golden glow.

The video for “Fly Away” is a welcome throwback to the vibes of early neo-soul, when it wasn't uncommon to see singers like Eric Benét barefoot onstage as they became one with the earth and the music itself. We’re not saying that we want to kick off our shoes and traipse through the nearest forest, but this visual is a lovely reminder of those simpler times.
