“Can We Do This Over” finds Naomi singing to her estranged lover. She wants to fix what’s broken between them and to give their love another chance. She’s weary but resolute as she sings, “This dance is getting harder, hard for me to follow / Feels like we’re moving slow now, we can’t let it go now,” on the pre-chorus.
The songstress asks, “Can we do this over?” on the chorus, but she doesn’t wait for an answer. She knows exactly what she wants as she continues singing, “’Cause I don’t want closure / Let your heart soften, I’ll give you my shoulder.” With such an impassioned plea wrapped in sublime, sensual vocals, who can say no to Naomi Sharon?
