Little Brother has quite a history, much of which fans saw play out in their acclaimed 2023 documentary May The Lord Watch: The Little Brother Story. Now the dynamic duo of Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh are on their way to making history again after their latest announcement. No, they didn’t share news of a new album or another surprise reunion with original member 9th Wonder. This particular declaration is more bittersweet, with LB announcing their Curtain Call: The Final Tour.
Tay and Pooh are hitting the road together one last time as Little Brother on this upcoming tour. The 12-date run will take them across the U.S. and even into international waters with a combination of headlining shows and festival appearances.
Their journey will begin in Baltimore at Artscape 2025 on May 24th before they head out to Brooklyn, D.C., Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles and Raleigh for their homecoming show on October 24th. They’ll also play Boston’s BAMS Festival, the Blue Note Jazz Festival in Napa and wrap things up in late October on the Rock The Bells Cruise.
This tour borrows its name from Little Brother’s song “Curtain Call” from their album Leftback. That project was released in 2010, the year they previously called it a wrap before they reunited almost a decade later and dropped their comeback album May The Lord Watch in 2019.
Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh are now ready to move on — and for good, from the sound of it. “Our mission as Little Brother is complete,” Phonte said in an exclusive interview with AllHipHop. “Our work as Little Brother is done. Our lives as Phonte and Thomas will go on forever.”
Rapper Big Pooh echoed Tay’s sentiments. “I want to let people know, me and Phonte, we super good,” Pooh told AHH. “We had a chance to reconcile, come back and, I believe, put Little Brother to bed the proper way.”
Wow. Little Brother shutting down their “LB bizness” wasn’t on our 2025 bingo card, but here we are.
In addition to this sobering news, Rapper Big Pooh also stated on X/Twitter, “No album. Just the tour.” His statement gives us a slight glimmer of hope that “no album” doesn’t exactly mean that we won’t be getting any new music period from the pair. However, if the last new cuts we ever get from LB happen to be their 2023 double dose “Wish Me Well” and “Glory Glory,” then so be it. They’ll have gone out like lions.

If you love LB as much as we do, then you don’t want to miss your last chance to see them performing together live. Tickets to the non-festival shows on their schedule go on sale on Wednesday, April 9th at 12 noon ET, and it’s guaranteed that they will sell out.
