D-Nice is coming back to Baltimore, and he’s bringing Club Quarantine Live with him. The rapper turned superstar DJ’s pandemic-born party will make its debut in Charm City as a part of the annual Preakness Festival’s first-ever Magic Of Maryland Music Celebration. The event will be one of many leading up to the 150th Preakness Stakes horse race at Pimlico Race Course in May.
The Magic Of Maryland Music Celebration will take place on Wednesday, May 14th at Pier Six Pavilion at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. The waterfront venue is an idyllic setting for the latest live edition of Club Quarantine, which is celebrating five years of the online phenomenon that’s blossomed into a thriving concert series.
Like he’s done for previous CQ Lives, D-Nice has invited a who’s who of artists spanning multiple genres to join him for this historic affair. He’ll share the stage with his sidekick Kenny Burns and fellow hip-hop veterans Too $hort, Jadakiss and Father MC as well Gen Z rapper and Maryland native Cordae. On the R&B tip, singers Ari Lennox, Deborah Cox, Raheem DeVaughn, Chanté Moore and Baltimore’s own Lil Mo will all be on hand to sing down. Multifaceted jazz artists Mike Phillips and Frédéric Yonnet will impress with their musicianship.
803Fresh, whose anthemic song “Boots On The Ground” has been the breakout hit of 2025, will be there, too, so practice the line dance and have your fans ready. Also helping to keep the audience on their feet (not that they’ll ever sit down with this lit lineup) will be celebrity DJ Quicksilva, DJ Class and Frank Ski’s infamous duo 2 Hype Brothers & A Dog. Backing all of the artists throughout the night will be the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Igmar Thomas.
D-Nice is really planning to do it up big for the Magic Of Maryland Music Celebration and Club Quarantine 5 Live, which he’s already brought to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and the Apollo Theater in New York City this year. This will be D-Nice’s second time performing at the Preakness Festival after previously appearing on the inaugural one (then named the Preakness LIVE Culinary, Art & Music Festival) in 2022 on the bill with Ms. Lauryn Hill and Megan Thee Stallion.
Baltimore and DMV music heads or anyone coming to town for Preakness, add Club Quarantine 5 Live at The Magic Of Maryland Music Celebration to your May itinerary. Tickets are on sale now via Live Nation. For more information on this event and all Preakness Festival events, visit the festival website.
