Ciara is known for rocking our bodies with bangin’ beats and high-octane dance moves. However, some of her biggest hits have come when she’s slowed things down and spoken to our more sensual sides — think cuts like “Promise” and “Body Party.” CiCi is returning to that well as she moves forward with more new music, this time bringing us another smooth and sexy cut called “Ecstasy.”
“Ecstasy” is a perfect slow burner for Ciara. The song, produced by TBHits and Leather Jacket, takes a cue from “Promise” and equips the track with a similar slinky groove. But this is a more grown-up affair this go ’round. The singer is ready to get down and get it on, and she’s not going to make it easy for her beau to say no.
“My body comes alive / When you get real close / You gon’ be surprised / If I get exposed,” she sings on the chorus. “’Cause you’re like a hit of ecstasy / I can feel you all inside / And baby, I’m on one tonight / Ready, set, let’s go.”
She reunites with “Promise” director Diane Martel for the “Ecstasy” visual. Like in that 2006 clip, Ciara’s doing a lot of writhing and grinding as she lets you know how ready she is for a wild night. She moves and poses seductively throughout, making sure that she’s covered in highly fashionable looks that hug her body tight enough to show off her every curve.
It’s a sexy affair that will have you asking for another hit, and Ciara has recently revealed that there’s more to come this summer. That’s when she’ll be releasing her latest album CiCi, which will act as an extension of her 2023 EP of the same name that featured the jam “How We Roll” with Chris Brown. You can look for CiCi the album to arrive on Friday, July 11th.
