Ari Lennox is the gift who keeps on giving. She gave her fans a present on her 34th birthday last month when she released her flirty new single “Soft Girl Era.” The DMV darling keeps the goodies coming in the track’s vivacious visual.
Lennox enlists music video veteran Chris Robinson to direct the clip, and he captures the songstress in all her gorgeous glory. The video begins with Ari and a few of her girlfriends having a grown and sexy slumber party. Everyone is pretty in pink as they lounge around the pink bedroom, look cute and showcase Mielle Organics’ new Kalahari Melon & Aloe Vera product line.
Product placement aside, it’s all about Ari, though. She’s the center of attention while singing, dancing with her girls from one colorful set to the next and cozying up to a tall, dark and handsome man who she wants to upgrade her. She might get her wish after he sees her hit a full split and lead a sexy exercise class in high heels.
As she’s known to do, Ari Lennox is applying pressure in the visual for “Soft Girl Era.” Between this track and previous single “Smoke,” her next album era already sounds pretty good. She hasn’t indicated when her follow-up to 2022’s age/sex/location will drop, but it may just be an Ari Lennox Summer.
