Amerie is in full bloom this spring. After releasing her single “Mine” in March, she continues her comeback campaign this month with a visual for the track.
We catch up with Amerie in bed in the “Mine” video. Dressed in the white nightgown from the single cover, the singer-songwriter is wrapped up in her bed’s white sheets as she lounges around and relaxes on fluffy pillows. The clip has an old home video feel with grainy, glitchy footage that looks like it was recorded on a low-resolution webcam. While she alternates between positions, smiles and sings into the camera, it remains stationary throughout. It’s a simple visual yet playful and sexy, much like the song.

In addition to more new music, her debut novel This Is Not A Ghost Story will be released in June, and she’s confirmed that she has a Tiny Desk Concert for NPR Music accompanied by go-go greats Backyard Band in the works. Her Tiny Desk premiere date has yet to be announced, but we’re eagerly anticipating it and everything that Amerie has to offer.
