Spring break may have recently ended, but we’re already looking forward to summer vacation. One of our favorite domestic destinations is New Orleans, and this July we plan to let the good times roll at the 2025 ESSENCE Festival Of Culture scheduled from Friday, July 4th through Sunday, July 6th. Every year ESSENCE Fest is a Black music lover’s dream, and this year’s lineup already has us seeing stars.

Festivalgoers who attend the Evening Concert Series at Caesars Superdome can expect to see performances by some of R&B and soul music’s finest, including Maxwell, The Isley Brothers, Boyz II Men, Summer Walker, Muni Long and Donell Jones. Hip-hop heads will be breaking their necks to catch sets by Nas, NOLA’s own Master P and GloRilla. Afrobeats superstar Davido and dancehall legend Buju Banton will be among the international acts heating up the stage. Jermaine Dupri will also be in the mix, producing an “ESSENCE Flowers” tribute to the dearly departed icon Quincy Jones. Tapped to host will be the “Lifestyle Specialist” Kenny Burns who is guaranteed to get the party started and keep it going each night.

These are just a few of the artists scheduled to appear at the 2025 ESSENCE Festival of Culture, but they’re enough to have us booking flights and hotel accommodations to spend some quality time in the Big Easy. Festival organizers will continue to roll out the talent roster in the coming weeks and months leading up to the Independence Day weekend festivities. If you’re already sold like we are, though, visit the ESSENCE Festival website today to learn more about all of the curated experiences on deck and to purchase weekend ticket packages or single-day passes through Ticketmaster.
