Without question, one of the best tours of 2024 was Maxwell’s The Serenade Tour. The arena tour featured opening acts October London and Jazmine Sullivan, and it found Maxwell digging in his crates to perform songs from throughout his catalog, leaning heavily on tracks from his fan-favorite sophomore album Embrya. After 26 concerts across the country, including numerous sold-out shows, Max is now spinning the block and reprising this tour with a few special guests.
On The Serenade 2025, Maxwell will be joined by Marsha Ambrosius, Kem, Leela James and Lucky Daye. These artists will take turns opening for him on various dates. The exact shows where Lucky, Leela, Kem and Marsha are scheduled to perform haven’t been revealed yet, but you honestly can’t go wrong with any of these acts.
The Serenade 2025 will bring Maxwell to many U.S. cities that he didn’t get to visit last year and will incorporate a few festivals and international dates as well. The tour kicks off on May 2nd in Peoria, Illinois before heading to Kansas City, Milwaukee, Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville, Cleveland and Atlanta. International stops on Max’s itinerary include the Love Supreme Jazz Festival in UK, Paris, Madrid, the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam and Helsingfors throughout July. The 23-date tour is currently scheduled to end on October 5th in Raleigh, North Carolina.
If you missed your chance to catch Maxwell on The Serenade Tour last year, you don’t want to be on the sidelines for The Serenade 2025 Tour. Of course, you’re going to need tickets, which are already on sale for the first four tour dates in Peoria, Kansas City, Del Mar and Highland. For the remaining U.S. shows, there’s a presale underway, which started today (Wednesday, March 26th) at 10 a.m. local time. To cop tickets during the presale, visit the Tour section on Maxwell’s website, find the show date you’re interested in and use the code “serenade” when you’re ready to purchase. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 28th at 10 a.m. local time, with the exception of tickets for the Columbus show, which go on sale on Friday, April 4th.
