Yukimi Nagano is highly regarded as the voice of Little Dragon. She has rocked our world as the Swedish band’s lead singer since they debuted with their single “Twice” almost 20 years ago, and now she has another debut brewing. The enchanting songstress is set to drop her first solo album, entitled For You, on Friday, March 28th. To accompany the set’s release, she has a North American tour on the horizon beginning in April.
Performing as simply Yukimi, her For You Tour is slated to hit a dozen cities in the U.S. and Canada. Major markets on the schedule include New York City (where the tour will commence on April 16th), Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles (where the tour will conclude on May 4th).
The singer is excited to return to the stage, this time around as a solo act. “I’m coming back to North America this Spring! Looking forward to playing my new music in lots of new places,” she wrote on Instagram in the caption for the tour flyer.
Longtime fans and those just getting put on to Yukimi can expect to hear her sing her brand-new singles “Break Me Down,” “Sad Makeup,” “Winter Is Not Dead,” additional selections from For You and favorites from Little Dragon’s vast catalog. Anyone who has seen LD live in concert over the years can attest that Yukimi is an exciting performer, so her first set of solo shows are not to be missed.
