Now that Ne-Yo is on his indie grind, the GRAMMY winner is reminding us why his talents have helped him make a name for himself. Coming off a stellar retrospective performance on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series and the release of his first independent single “2 Million Secrets,” Ne-Yo is turning up the heat with his latest release “Show Me.”

The crooner is on his loverman kick for “Show Me” and seduction is on his mind. He infuses a sensual slow jam groove with modern drums and trappy hi-hats to set the mood. From there, he gets straight to business as he makes his aims to seduce known from jump.

He sings of meeting a woman during a night out whom he’s brought back to his place to see what she’s really about. “Baby we can, small talk / Tell me ’bout yourself as I pour this drink / But I think we both know why you’re here,” he sings at the track’s beginning. With that established, he gets even bolder on the chorus.

“So now that you’re here can you show me more / Of what you was doing to me on the floor / Grinding like you do / But can you do it with me inside you? / Girl, can you show me? Can you be savage?” he croons, ready for that action.

The sensual fantasy continues in the song’s visual. We watch as Ne-Yo strolls into a suit store and his swagger captures the attention of one of the store’s clerks. She assists him but is soon caught up in his rapture and flirts her way into several situations. They eventually end up getting closer than close in pool back at Ne-Yo's crib. But just when things get too hot to handle, it's revealed that the entire scene was just a fantasy in the clerk's head.

“Show Me” is yet another feather in Ne-Yo’s wide-brimmed hat. And with him set to soon embark on Mary J. Blige’s The For My Fans Tour along with Mario in January, we’re sure to be hearing and seeing more from the crooner.
