It’s a celebration for Mario. The crooner and Maryland native finally dropped his anticipated latest album Glad You Came much to the delight of his fans. The set — which he’s promoted with singles like “Space” and the album’s title track — finds him delving deeper into his loverman persona to give his fanbase exactly what they’ve been asking for. He’s also bringing it home with the latest visual from the project, a clip for the steamy cut “Keep Going (Aaaaahhhhh).”
“Keep Going” is all about the arguments that lead into sensual makeup sessions, if you catch the singer’s drift. But if you didn’t, he spells it out pretty explicitly on the song’s chorus. “Just keep on kissing me, girl, I don’t wanna stop this / Keep on going, I just might kiss you on that ah-ah-ah-ah,” he teases. “I know you like how I apologize / ’Cause now I got you screaming like, ‘Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah.’”
The song’s visual gets deeper into the story behind the song. We see the singer and his lady get into a tiff, though we’re not exactly sure what its root is. It doesn’t really matter in the long run, though, as the two are soon going from fighting to loving one another in a special way. The video is unexpectedly risqué as it focuses on its two stars in various states of dress and undress. It also serves as a reminder that our boy Mario is a certified sex symbol.
It’s a role that he seems to be embracing on the rest of Glad You Came. Many of the album’s 13 songs are geared toward romance and more than a few evoke the bedroom. While that doesn’t do much to make him stand out among his contemporaries, it does allow him to showcase his talents and quench his fans’ thirst.
