Tyla has had her foot on our necks since she burst onto the scene and our playlists in 2023 with her global hit “Water.” She’s been applying pressure ever since with the subsequent release of her self-titled debut album TYLA earlier this year. The South African stunner keeps her foot on the gas in the music video for “PUSH 2 START” from her debut’s deluxe edition TYLA+.
“PUSH 2 START” is one of three new songs tacked onto TYLA+, and the rhythmic Amapiano bop is the first to get a visual. Featuring multiple automobile references embedded into the lyrics, Tyla and director Aerin Moreno take us to a car wash. She pulls up with a crew of dancing baddies, and they bring the party to the premises.
The singer and her girls strut past candy-painted vehicles waiting to be detailed before they break into seductive choreography while bubbles swirl around in the air. The seduction keeps coming as we watch her covered in soapy water on the hood of a car while it goes through the wash cycle and later when her body gets spray painted in multiple colors. With her fresh coat of paint, she’s rejoined by her girl gang on the flatbed of a car carrier for more dancing until the clip fades to black.
