Eric Roberson has a present for his fans and Christmas music lovers. When he announced The Greatest Gift: An Eric Roberson Christmas Holiday Tour last month, we speculated that he had something else in his gift bag. It turns out our suspicions were right because Erro plans to release his debut holiday album The Greatest Gift: An Eric Roberson Christmas later this month. He’s introducing the project with its title track.
“The Greatest Gift” is a Christmas original from the acclaimed singer-songwriter who has dropped a slew of singles throughout 2024. He co-wrote the song with Dana T. Sorrey who co-produced the track with Brett “B Dubb” Baker.
According to Eric, the greatest gift is love. Over twinkling keys, he begins on the first verse, “Even when I’m far from home, know my heart and mind stays on / The love you have for me / Four walls can’t define celebrating Christmas time / Your love is all I need.” Those sincere lyrics lead right into the heartwarming chorus where he croons, “So for this holiday, I just really want to say / Your love is the greatest gift to me,” accented by horns and jingling bells.
“This song captures the warmth and love of the season, and I hope it brings joy to you and yours,” Roberson stated about “The Greatest Gift” in a press release.
We could all use a little holiday cheer right now, and Erro plans to bring it on The Greatest Gift: An Eric Roberson Christmas. More details about the project are to come, but he has teased another original tune “Santa Claus Is Coming,” which is on the way like jolly old St. Nick himself. The album will be released on Monday, November 25th, right in time for Thanksgiving and spending precious moments with family and friends.
