Beyoncé Urges Us To Get Out The Vote By Giving Us A Visual Tease Of ‘BODYGUARD’

Fans have been thirsting for visuals from Beyoncé ever since she left them on the hook during her RENAISSANCE era. And though she’s insisted that we are the visuals, it seems that the superstar has been keeping an ace up her sleeve for a special occasion — and what could be more special than a crucial presidential election? To that effect, Bey is doing her part to get out the vote by dropping a surprise visual for her COWBOY CARTER track “BODYGUARD.”

Well, it’s not a music video exactly. Titled “BEYWATCH,” it’s more so a showcase of Beyoncé channeling ’90s icon Pamela Anderson for Halloween. The clip shows her rocking looks from the starlet and former Playboy Playmate’s career, including recreations of looks from shows like Baywatch and movies like Barb Wire while further indulging in the blonde bombshell aesthetic that the COWBOY CARTER era has been all about.

But, as mentioned before, this one isn’t just about the singer playing dress-up for Beylloween. Beyoncé actually adds a message to the proceedings with constant reminders to vote. The message appears on a flag released from a prop gun she toys with throughout the clip and, in case you didn’t get it from there, it also appears at the end of the video.

If there were ever a reason for Bey to surprise drop a visual, this current election would definitely be it — and the fact that it’s the song “BODYGUARD” that gets this treatment is not lost on us. While we, like Beyoncé, hope that you vote for Kamala Harris instead of that other guy this election season, we also urge you to simply vote and have your voice be heard.
