Is there anything that Victoria Monét can’t do? She’s a singer, songwriter, performer, GRAMMY Award winner, mother and a bad mamma jamma! Now the multi-hyphenate is adding another job to her LinkedIn profile with the addition of children’s book author to her resume. Victoria has announced that her debut children’s book Everywhere You Are is on the way.
Described as “a lyrical picture book that’s perfect for children with separation anxiety,” the superstar will flex her pen and creativity in a whole new medium. In addition to showcasing Monét’s words, the book is set feature artwork by British illustrator Alea Marley. Penguin Random House will publish the tome in June 2025.
According to the publisher’s website, in Everywhere You Are, “a gentle moon comforts a young star as night ends and they separate.” The book underscores “that even when someone isn’t right next to us, their love still carries on in our hearts.”
This project is near and dear to Victoria’s heart as a mother and touring artist. “I wrote this book in honor of hard-working parents wanting to offer a consoling reminder to their children that even when a loved one isn’t right next to us, the love you have for each other still carries so much presence!” she shared on Instagram with a carousel of photographs of her with her GRAMMY-nominated, three-year-old daughter Hazel Monet.
Victoria visited The Jennifer Hudson Show this week, and her conversation with Jennifer Hudson naturally turned to her baby girl. The proud mama lovingly spoke about Hazel and her interest in singing. “She seems to have such a musical gift, and I’m just so excited to shape it and also not pigeonhole her to just music. She can be a rocket scientist. She can do whatever she wants,” Monét said. During her interview, she also chatted about winning big at this year’s GRAMMYs, releasing JAGUAR II: Deluxe, collaborating with Usher and she gave JHud the scoop about her forthcoming book.
