Robin Thicke is back on our televisions on season 12 of The Masked Singer, and he’s also returned to our playlists with new music. He dropped his latest single “I Know What To Do” in August and its DreamDoll-featuring remix at the end of September, and he is quite busy pushing the releases. His promo travels brought him to Washington, D.C. where he swung by Noochie’s crib to perform on his acclaimed Live From The Front Porch series.

The band laid the foundation for the performance by playing the instrumental for “Oh Shooter.” A fan favorite from Thicke’s 2003 debut album A Beautiful World, the song got reworked with the addition of Lil Wayne and rereleased as the single “Shooter” from his sophomore album The Evolution Of Robin Thicke in 2006.

Noochie stepped out to the track’s funkdafied bass line to introduce his special guest on this nighttime edition of Live From The Front Porch. Robin soon appeared on the porch to get the show started. Instead of singing to his walk-out song, though, he launched into his 2008 single “Magic” taken from his third album Something Else. The upbeat cut showcased his live vocals, natural charisma and stage presence on the tiny porch.

He made his way down onto the lawn for more room to move as he segued into the next groove, “Wanna Love You Girl” also from The Evolution Of Robin Thicke. Robin showed off his skills on the mic by singing and rapping Pharrell Williams’ verse in his absence.

Thicke continued his journey through his vast catalog and sang “Lost Without U.” He kicked the slow jam up a notch and gave a nod to Chocolate City with a go-go breakdown on the outro. The multitalented artist then jumped on the keys to perform “The Sweetest Love” and “Can U Believe” to keep the quiet storm vibes going.

After that chill segment of his set, Robin was ready to turn up again. “Let’s get the party started, let’s have some fun!” he said before launching into his Diamond-certified hit single “Blurred Lines.” Thicke was in his element and feeling the band and himself.

Robin could have ended his performance with a mic drop right then and there, but he had one more in the chamber. He wrapped up with his saucy new track “I Know What To Do” and informed fans that his next album is dropping on Valentine’s Day 2025.
