More Mario is coming! After dropping his single “Space” last month, he’s answering fans’ prayers and blessing them with a new album before the year ends. The “Let Me Love You” singer’s sixth album Glad You Came will debut this December. To herald the project’s impending arrival, Mario has unveiled its vibrant cover art and released an intriguing album teaser.
The cover features a photograph of Mario standing against a mirrored wall in a room with decor that looks straight out the 1970s. He’s giving a seductive stare into the camera as he holds a vintage, red rotary telephone in one hand while the cord and receiver hang around his neck.

That red telephone is a recurring motif, also popping up in the official trailer for Glad You Came. In the trailer, Mario dials the phone while lying in bed. A woman luxuriating in a bathtub picks up her princess phone on the other end. He puts the phone receiver up to an old school radio playing an unreleased song of his. When she asks who it is, Mario simply responds, “Glad you came.” With those three little words, she either passed out or is on her way because the final scene is her phone receiver hitting the ground as the album title pops up on the screen.
Glad You Came is Mario’s first new album since 2018’s Dancing Shadows. The collection is being executive produced by the maestro James Fauntleroy, who co-wrote “Space” with Mario and BNYX.
Mario is keeping additional collaborators and the project’s tracklist under wraps for the time being, but we do know that the LP will contain 13 songs. Included, of course, are “Space” and the title track, which appears to be the project’s next single. The song “Glad You Came” is scheduled for release on Friday, November 8th.
“Glad You Came is an offering, not only an offering to my fans who have been very loyal and patient but to myself and the young 15-year-old Mario who always vowed to stay true to what felt authentic,” Mario stated about the album in a press release.
Mario’s Glad You Came will be released on New Citizen/Epic Records on Friday, December 13th. Eager fans can pre-save the album on digital music platforms or pre-order copies on vinyl or CD from Mario’s merch store.
