Jennifer Hudson has gotten a jump on Santa Claus and Mariah Carey! The EGOT ushered in the holidays early on her talk show to celebrate the season and the release of her Christmas album The Gift Of Love on its drop date.
The entire hour of her Friday, October 18th episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show was devoted to a “Holiday In October Special.” The set was decked out with Christmas trees, shiny ornaments and twinkling lights, but nothing glowed brighter than JHud herself. She beamed while talking at length about The Gift Of Love – her first album in 10 years and her first-ever holiday collection. Jennifer even called herself the Princess Of Christmas while showing reverence to Mariah’s Queen Of Christmas title.
Hudson did more than talk about the album, she debuted music from the set with a live performance of “Santa For Someone” later in the episode. Dressed in a dark red velvet dress, Jenny looked rather chic singing one of the original cuts on The Gift Of Love. She brought the house down with her vocal range on the festive number that is sure to become a Christmastime favorite.
This performance was a preview of coming attractions of what people can expect on Jennifer’s limited engagement The Gift Of Love: An Intimate Tour Experience. Her sleigh will land in four cities for five shows, and she’s guaranteed to slay every single one.
