The rollout for Victoria Monét’s JAGUAR II: Deluxe album continues. She’s been stoking anticipation for the project over the past few weeks, and its release is imminent. Before the deluxe drops at the top of October, Vic gifts fans with the complete tracklist.
Monét teased that JAGUAR II: Deluxe would include the full original album plus 10 additional tracks, including previously released duets “SOS (Sex On Sight)” with Usher and “We Might Even Be Falling In Love (Duet)” with Bryson Tiller. However, the remaining eight tracks were a mystery – until now.
Victoria revealed all the song titles in a slick new promo video posted to her socials. The stunner can be seen in the clip in a bedazzled black gown with her long blonde tresses blowing in the wind machine. She shoots seductive glances into the camera while chess pieces float in the air. That’s when the song titles appear on the screen one by one.
Surprises include the naughtily-titled track “DickAtNight,” a Thundercat feature on “Don’t Sleep” and a cover of the Sade classic “Love Is Stronger Than Pride,” which can be heard playing in the background. The latter song was born out of a remix entitled “Stronger (D’Remix)” that superstar producer D’Mile dropped earlier this year. He mashed up Victoria and Sade Adu’s vocals into a house groove that we called “a match made in musical heaven if there ever was one” at the time of its release. A full remake has now materialized, and we’re confident it will be just as mesmerizing.
Altogether, JAGUAR II: Deluxe will feature a total of 21 tracks. From the looks of it, Victoria Monét is fully prepared to blow our minds and snatch our wigs on this super-sized collection of music.
