Mary J. Blige is ready for her next era to begin – and she has a new album and major concert tour on the way to prove it.

Blige broke the news live on the season three premiere of Sherri this week. Sherri Shepherd welcomed the Queen Of Hip-Hop Soul back to her show, and they chatted it up about Mary’s upcoming induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, loving herself, changing her mind about retirement and acting on Power Book II: Ghost. Mary wasn’t giving up any spoilers about the series finale much to Sherri’s chagrin, but she hooked the host up with her big announcements instead.

MJB was a little tongue-tied at first as she revealed that she’s hitting the road in 2025 on The For My Fans Tour. “If you are a Mary J. Blige fan, this is for you,” she told Sherri’s ecstatic audience. This tour is also for fans of Ne-Yo and Mario, who are both joining her on the bill.

After dropping that bomb, Mary quickly followed with another. She announced that her next album entitled Gratitude will be released on Friday, November 15th. Shepherd asked her what gratitude means to her, and Mary responded, “Look at my life right now. I’m in a constant state of gratitude. I feel good. I have jobs and opportunities. I’m healthy, my family’s healthy. I have people around that care for me and love me. And I have amazing fans. I’m so grateful to my fans for all the years of love they’ve given me and support.”

Before Mary J. left the stage, she had one more surprise for Sherri. She gifted her with a pair of her highly sought-after signature boots in collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti. The Mary Boot has been sold out since shortly after they dropped in May, and the comedienne was beside herself with glee.

The For My Fans Tour will stop in 27 cities across North America from Atlanta to Washington, D.C. Although the actual show dates and venues haven’t been unveiled yet, the full list of cities is available for folks to start pre-planning. Fans are invited to sign up for Mary’s list on Ticketmaster to receive information on ticket presales, which start on Tuesday, October 1st. The list closes tonight (Thursday, September 26th) at 11 p.m. ET, so make haste to sign up.

As far as Gratitude is concerned, additional details about the album are pretty scarce at the moment. It’s assumed that Mary’s 2023 single “Still Believe In Love” will be included on the project alongside her new single, the empowering song “Breathing” that features Fabolous. “Breathing” is Blige’s latest song to land on Billboard’s charts, and with her loyal and locked-in fanbase, it likely won’t be her last.
