Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank had fans shook last October when they announced they were reuniting as the supergroup TGT. The fellas made it clear that any R&Beef they had was in the past, and they plotted a future together that would include a new album and concert tour in 2024. We’re still waiting on new music from the trio, but they’re making good on their other promise. TGT’s latest announcement is that they are hitting the road later this year with co-headliners BBD on the R&B Forever Tour.
TGT made their official comeback in July at the 2024 ESSENCE Festival Of Culture with their first live performance together in years. The guys looked good, sounded great and gave folks a taste of what they’ve been missing. TGT’s pop-out at ESSENCE Fest left fans wanting more, and they’re ready to deliver just that this fall and winter. Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank will share the stage with New Edition’s legendary members Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe performing together as Bell Biv DeVoe. BBD will undoubtedly deliver their hip-hop smoothed out on the R&B tip with a pop feel appeal classics and high-energy stage show.
In addition to the top-shelf headliners, the R&B Forever Tour will also feature a solid lineup of special guests. The ’90s R&B group Silk is already locked in with additional artists to be announced for each city, such as Tevin Campbell who’ll be a guest on the tour’s opening night on October 4th in Inglewood, CA.
The first wave of R&B Forever Tour dates has been revealed with seven cities scheduled thus far. After kicking things off in Cali, the itinerary includes shows in Dallas and Miami in October; Brooklyn, NY and Greensboro, NC in November and Milwaukee and Atlanta in December. The tour dates are few, but promoters have already promised that more shows will be added.
TGT’s members have been busy hyping the tour up online. “They bout to get this WORK!” Tank boasted on his Instagram. Tyrese was a little more reserved, writing on his IG, “we are just getting started.” Ginuwine could barely contain his excitement, though, sharing that “things will never be the same for the ladies after this night.” Well, alrighty then! We are sold!
